Liquid lipsticks put me away from the fuss of reapplication. Honestly, reapplying lipsticks over and over again is a task. Some of them are too drying but ok we have lip balms to the rescue. At least it spares you from transferring and messing.
So, this FALL-WINTER I was totally obsessed with this lipstick from colorbar. It’s the colorbar kiss proof lip stain in the shade rustic. Now, this lipstick is no new to the market but still manages to hit the top 10 liquid lipsticks list by most of the beauty gurus. So I’d better stop exaggerating and give you all a quick review of the product or on why I was so obsessed with this lipstick.
The kiss proof range has 8 shades from which I already tried the shade Hollywood. Hollywood is that perfect bright red. So I was going through liquid lipsticks and I came across this coral shade called rustic. Rustic is that coral pale-ish orange which is ideal for the fall-winter season. Falls are all about this maple leaf shade.
I don’t have a win-win experience with oranges. Most of them tend to wash me off. But this muted orange shade suited my medium to dusky skin tone so perfectly that I couldn’t stop myself from wearing this repeatedly.
PACKAGING
This comes with the classic colorbar silver packaging. I have been liking metallic packaging these days. Not only packaging I am in love with everything metallic. Lipstick has the same silver body and the transparent part makes it easy to identify the color. The name and number of the shade are mentioned at the bottom of the product. Apart from that, the sticker is not just any plain one with a name on it but it is colored such that you don’t have to read out the name for identification every single time.
PRODUCT REVIEW
The wand has a pointy tip which helps in precise application of the lipstick. It has a very thin consistency that it doesn’t feel like you have something on your lips. Post application it takes 5 – 10 minutes to settle and become completely matte. True to its name it doesn’t transfer but can be extremely drying at times. So I prefer applying lip balm 5 mins prior to the application.
I used this lipstick for most of my fall winter and the only reason I wore it so often has nothing to do with its formulation or pigmentation. It just made me look good and I was overly determined to wear particular shades throughout fall-winter (funny right? ). So this was a mini review cum story about a product which I was totally obsessed with.
If you want me to do a full review of this product or any product which you have in your mind please do let me know.
