How many of us had made resolutions and failed already? Yeah, me! Isn’t it a never-ending story. It is probably because we get much excited and plan to do everything we have been procrastinating at once. It definitely doesn’t work that way. So don’t worry if you failed again this year.
Let us not give up and start over again with few tiny resolutions which may not sound all fancy but will show a positive effect on your life. You need not have to start doing all at a time. 2018 is going stay here for 12 more months. So let’s start one at a time.
1MEDITATE
Now, you don’t have to take out hours from your busy schedule to master this. You don’t have to sit in a yogi position and concentrate for hours. It just takes 1 minute or let’s say you need to take 3 long breaths. It’s that simple.
2 KEEP A BOOK OF AWESOME QUOTES
We come across 100 quotes a day. if we like any of them, we screenshot it. Instead, gift yourself a cute notebook and a pack of color markers. Now its time to show up your creativity. You can just copy them down with your favorite color marker or show some hand lettering skills. It not only kills time but also helps you to relax. Helps you to disconnect from heck going on in your life.
3 DONT HIT SNOOZE
Frankly speaking, I suck at it. This is one of my personal resolutions this year. Just google the benefits of being a morning person. You will find a ton. I have been a night owl half of my life. you can only make the most of your day as a morning person. This 2018 let’s give it a shot.
4 READ AT LEAST 5 BOOKS
The concept of reading bores most of the people. What do you think helped a dwarf survive a whole series which is known for killing the best of the characters(Well, until now)? GOTians you already have the answer.
The best way to learn something is by reading. People have different interests. One likes to sink into fantasies and the other like to know history. Some like to know abt the godly creatures and supernatural powers mentioned in our mythology and some like to create supernatural things by using science. And all of this starts only at one point- script, which you read. Books with a lot of fantasy and supernatural are my jam.
You don’t have to keep reading until it bores you to death. A page a day will do. Find a genre for yourself be is fantasy, be it a non-fiction, history, mythology, sci-fi and even romance. Just start reading. Once you get the hang of it. It feels like the best thing to. You start perceiving things in your own way and believe me that’s the best way. You read it yourself, question it yourself, evaluate it yourself and conclude it yourself.And no matter what, a good book is always going to be one great experience. so, pick a genre and start reading. I promise it is not that boring. so, make a resolution and try to read at least 5 books this year.
5 DRINK LOTS OF WATER
Drinking water can solve almost every skin and health issues which you are facing right now. Take up this challenge and drink at least 3 liters of water a day for a week. Now observe the change. It will detoxify all the toxins u have been dumping while partying for the new year. And gradually it will show up on your skin and hair as well. Take this step for a better you. This 2018 let’s not work for the outer you. Let’s do something for the inner you.
6 KEEP A JOURNAL
Becoming self-aware or knowing yourself is important. That is how you are going to start loving yourself. If you are aware of what makes you happy or sad, beating stress and unhappiness becomes a lot easier. Making life simpler. Start writing at least 50 words a day. write down one memory from the day which made you happy. If not there are 100s of journal prompts on the internet, pick one and start writing.
7 BE GRATEFUL
Don’t you think we spend half of our lives, complaining? There are lot more reasons to be grateful for the life you are living right now. Complaining is something very natural. I am not asking you to stop complaining completely. Write down 10 things you are grateful for, today. Do this every day. This will help you to look on the brighter side. Who knows you might stop looking on the darker side or give up on complaining forever?
